1943 Cessna T50, Bamboo Bomber

The Cessna T50 or UC78 was first introduced in 1939 and more than 5,400 were produced. The Army Air Corps used the plane as a multi-engine trainer for bomber pilot training as well as a utility aircraft for hauling military mail, important people and critical cargo.

The plane also found stardom as the centerpiece of a mid-fifties TV show called "Sky King". In that role it was the "Song Bird".
